Dr Kent Pluke is an experienced Urologist, practising at Melomed Tokai.
He completed his MBChB at UCT in 2008. In 2021, he obtained a Postgraduate Qualification at the Fellow of the College of Urologists South Africa and a Masters in Medicine at UCT.
Dr Kent began his career as an Intern at Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital from 2009 to 2010. He completed his Community service year in Beaufort West in 2011. Following this, he worked as a medical officer in surgery at Worcester Hospital for two years. He was also a Medical officer in surgery and urology at Victoria Hospital in Wynberg. In 2021, he completed a Registrar specialist training in Urology at Groote Schuur Hospital.
As a Urologist, Dr Pluke is able to assist patients with conditions of the urinary tract system, as well as male reproductive organs. These conditions include but are not limited to the ureters, adrenal glands, kidneys, bladder, urethra, prostate and testes.
Dr Pluke also has a keen interest in Prostate related problems, such as Prostate Cancer and Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia.
Dr Pluke's dedication stems from wanting to help his patients reach their optimal health. He does his utmost to make his patients feel comfortable and encourages them to voice any concerns they have.
